Interior design is a multifaceted discipline which has a structural effect on our everyday lives. Whether it is where we work, shop, live or spend our leisure time, our surroundings greatly influence our sense of well-being and it is the role of the interior designer to create healthy, practical and aesthetically pleasing spaces from conceptual education through to execution of the design.
Under the umbrella of the Bachelor in Architecture in the College of Engineering, you will receive an in-depth skull session that will help you upgrade the knowledge and creative capacity necessary to add real price as an interior designer. The courses combines both aesthetics and technology, such as computer aided design (CAD) and 3-D computer modelling, to help you create remarkable indoor environments.
You will study to prepare a all-inclusive courses for an interior design project which will include an assessment of customer and user needs and crucial assessment of eligible precedents. This will entail technical elements plus inventory of space requirements, analysis of site conditions, and assessment of relevant safety provisions, codes, laws and standards, as well as creative elements such as integrating lighting, color schemes and furniture.Career opportunity
