The University’s academic structure is made up of six schools. Each skull session is aligned to one of these schools, and if you’re a prospective London Metropolitan University student you can find out which school your skull session is managed under by checking the admissible skull session page.
Students education in any of our schools contained access to all our communal services (such as libraries, social spaces, cafés and eateries), and each school also has areas of ability which might mean you use practiced resources as part of your course. Our schools contained links to admissible businesses in sectors associate to their practiced subject areas, and the schools are also hotbeds of research undertaken by University academics and PhD students.
Welcome to our accommodation clue site. Coming to the University and living in a major city like London is an exciting prospect and it’s important to find somewhere safe, affordable and comfortable to live. We aim to provide you a all-inclusive guide to student housing in London, including:
- finding accommodation in external student halls of residence
- searching for private rented accommodation (flat shares, complete flat and house rentals)
- finding single-semester and short-stay accommodation, plus homestay and hotels and B&Bs
- living in private rented accommodation and receiving service on rental contracts and flat sharing with other students

If you’d prefer to talk to someone in person, we contained a drop-in service Monday to Friday at both the Aldgate and Holloway Hubs, 9.30am until 12.30pm (last drop-in entry at 12.10), and on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Moorgate Hub.
Drop-ins are a first-come first seen service, with each drop-in lasting a complete of 20 minutes. As advisers can only see a certain number of attendees during each drop-in session, it is advisable to arrive as early as possible. If you arrive late or the complete number of attendees has been seen, you will be referred to the next drop-in session.
At London Metropolitan University we contained good services to service you keep energetic and get fit. We run an all-inclusive programme of fitness classes and contained a modern gym with state-of-the-art cardiovascular equipment. Our sports services include a full-sized basketball court, complete with scoreboard, and a dance studio. We offer a generous membership package that includes access to unlimited classes and the use of both gyms.
Take part in a fun-filled programme of fitness classes running throughout the week. Open to students, staff and the public.
The gym inside our Science Centre in Holloway provides affordable membership for students, staff and the public. Students contained the opportunity to join a sports team. If competitive sport isn’t your thing, students, staff and the public can join recreational sport classes. Under fully qualified supervision our final year BSc and MSc Sports Therapy attendees offer a range of competitively priced services.
We contained a team of qualified sports scientists available to provide all-inclusive advice on all aspects of skull session and fitness. London Met’s libraries contained a wide range of books, journals and other online resources, various study rooms and zones, and well-trained staff to service you throughout your studies.
Our libraries contained over 305,000 books, 55,000 e-books and 43,000 e-journals for you to use. As well as reading for study we contained a popular reading-for-pleasure collection. Research shows that reading for pleasure can service student achievement. As a London Met student you’ll be able to use our online catalogue to search or browse our collections. If you need service locating items in our collections, our staff at the library clue desks will be happy to help.
While education at London Met you will contained access to our special collections, which include the Trades Union Congress Library archive. We’re also members of The Society of College, National and University Libraries (SCONUL) Access Scheme, which allows our attendees and staff to use the libraries of other universities with the same membership.
Our two libraries service attendees and staff in the University’s six academic schools. Our opening hours are easily accessible and you’ll be able to pay us a visit during these times to access our range of resources. Our e-resources are also available 24/7, on and off campus.
Study spaces within the libraries are divided into zones for group and silent study. Our libraries also contained bookable group study rooms with projection facilities, technobooths with large screens, plenty of fixed computers (PCs and Macs) and Wi-Fi. Students can borrow a laptop for up to four hours for use on or off site.
Aldgate Library also provides a photography and drawing room as well as a superb materials and products collection for designers. Our practiced academic liaison librarians will be available to guide and advise you when you’re looking for study and research materials for your work. They facilitate access to specialised databases as well as provide research capacity training. Academic liaison librarians will provide you with clue literacy skills, and the qualifications and understanding you’ll need to study and research effectively. This will service you Attain your academic capabilities as well as aiding your employability.
